Pink Badge Programme

The Pink Badge is the perfect entry point for junior umpires wanting to grow their skills and parents volunteering to support the game.
Running on Friday nights in our Intermediate (KwikSticks) 7‑a‑side competition, this programme provides a friendly, guided introduction to umpiring.

Who it’s for

  • Junior umpires who are new to officiating and keen to grow their confidence and skills.
  • Parents and whānau volunteers wanting a simple, supportive introduction to umpiring.
  • Aspiring AIMS Games umpires looking to build the fundamentals needed for future opportunities.

What you’ll gain

  • A friendly, guided introduction to umpiring, with practical coaching before your games.
  • Core skills in whistling, signalling, positioning, and understanding basic rules.
  • A strong foundation for progressing into the Orange and Blue Badge pathways — or stepping up to AIMS Games umpiring.
