Senior Development Programme 2025

What is the programme?

Tauranga Hockey will deliver an 8-week Senior Development Programme in Term 2 for players aspiring to compete in the National Hockey Championship (NHC). This programme will focus on advanced skills, principles of play, tactical decision-making, and high-intensity gameplay scenarios to prepare players for the demands of NHC-level hockey.

Tuesday sessions will form the programme's core, emphasising skill development and gameplay strategies. Wednesday morning sessions will be focused on individual skill development. 

Who can join?

This programme is open to senior players (18 years and over out of secondary school) looking to develop their skills and compete for selection in Tauranga Hockey’s NHC teams.

When?

The programme runs from May 5 to July 2, 2025, on the following dates:

• Mondays: May  5, 12, 19, 26, June  9, 16, 23, 30 (8:30–9:30 PM)
• Wednesday: May 7, 14, 21, 28,  June 4, 11, 18, 25, July 2 (6:00–7:30 AM)
