Health and Safety - Concussion Awareness Policy: Click here
All coaches and managers must be familiar with THA Health & Safety policies, including the Concussion Awareness Policy. These are available on our website Click here
Game Locations:
Most games are played at the Tauranga Hockey Centre, Mt Maunganui. Depending on entries, some games may be at Tauranga Boys’ College or Bethlehem College. The draw clearly shows the turf location.
For games at BC or TGA Boys, please stick strictly to draw times. If games run late, warm-ups may need to be shortened so later games start on time.
Team Lists & Player Registrations
All players must register through PlayHQ to their school. By the team list deadline, schools must allocate all registered players to teams. Team lists downloaded from PlayHQ will be the offical lists for the season. Any changes after this date must follow the handbook rules.

Cancellation Procedure
Wet Weather & Cancellations:
Hockey is an all-weather winter sport and games will be played in the rain if turfs are playable.
Major weather events may result in the Competition Administrator cancelling the entire morning before games begin.
If conditions worsen during the morning, the onsite coordinator at Blake Park may cancel games as needed.
In changing conditions, decisions may be made game-by-game and turf-by-turf by umpires and the competition coordinator.
At satellite venues, coaches/managers are responsible for deciding if turfs are unplayable and must text the draw steward with the outcome of each game.
Cancellation Notices:
Cancellations are published on the Tauranga Hockey Facebook page and THA website from 7:10am Saturday.
Office Hours:
The THA office is open Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. Phones are not answered on weekends
