Annual General Meeting

We have received the following nominations for Board positions: More Details to come.

All nominations have had a very long involvement with hockey across many roles and bring a vast array of skills and attributes to the table. 


Two current coopted board members seeking election: 

  • Reuben Fraser – co-opted 2025; current member of Otumoetai Hockey Club & THA  

Reuben was coopted onto the THA Board in 2025 and was a valuable contributor over this time is keen to remain involved. He has had a long involvement with hockey as a player, coach and umpire. He has held various governance roles including Envirohub and on a National Project Steering Group and  holds a senior position at the Bay of Plenty Regional Council.

Reuben would bring the following skills 

  • Compliance and risk management 
  • Regulatory knowledge 
  • Governance
  • Stakeholder engagement 
  • People management 
  • Strategic planning and insight 


  • Emanae Hartley – co-opted 2025; current member of Mount Hockey Club & THA  

Eamane was co-opted onto the THA Board in 2025 and was a valuable contributor over this time and is keen to remain involved. She has had a long standing involvement with hockey and has various leadership roles across through her career. and is a qualified accountant. 

Emanae would bring the following skills

  • Financial literacy 
  • Governance experience 
  • Stakeholder engagement 
  • Risk management
  • People management 
  • Attention to detail 


Four new nominations seeking election  

  • Geoff Williamson – current member of Otumoetai Hockey Club & THA. 

Geoff has a long standing involvement with hockey and brings a range of skills, knowledge and expertise to the table. He has been involved in the THA Facility Advisory Group for two years and has an active role in his club. He has held several leadership roles within THA including chair of Masters committee and is currently on the HNZ Masters Advisory Committee. He is a recipient of a HNZ Gold Service Award. 

Geoff would bring the following skills:

  • Leadership skills
  • Governance experience
  • Strategic planning 
  • Facility planning 
  • Project management 
  • Risk management 


  • Robyn Neil – nominated by Moana Sports & Cultural Club.

Robyn has a long standing involvement in hockey as a player and manager and was a founding member of a Women's Hockey Club. She was on the Auckland Hockey Board from 2016 - 2022 and is a recipient of a HNZ Gold Service Award. Robyn is also a qualified accountant. 

Robyn would bring the following skills:

  • Governance experience 
  • Stong communication 
  • Leadership skills
  • Financial literacy
  • Ability to navigate complex issues to practical solutions
  • Stakeholder engagement 


Michael Lineham – current member of Tauranga Old Boys Club & THA. 

Michael has a long-standing involvement in hockey and brings a strong foundation of transferable skills through his professional background as an auditor and through leadership team coordination.

Michael would bring the following skills to the THA Board table:

  • Leadership and organisational capability 
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking and adherence to governance princples
  • Stakeholder and communication 
  • Financial literacy  - Auditor 
  • People management 
  • Planning and logistics management
  • Risk management 
  • Accountability for team outcomes and participation 


Joanne-Coates Reid – nominated by Moana Sports & Cultural Club.  

Joanne  has had a long standing involvement in hockey as a player, manager and administrator. Through her manager roles with NZ Masters hockey teams she has strengthened her understanding of governance, orgnaisational standards and stakeholder management. 

Joanne would bring the following skills to the THA table

  • Governance experience
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Strategic planning - ensuring link to operational outcomes
  • Risk management 
  • Financial management
