2023 Season:
All Ministicks games are played on 1/8 turf on Whanga | Harbour
every week.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Please read this carefully so that teams are aware of their duties. The primary coordinators (Kyla) will be overseeing the turf setups and breakdown of turfs every Saturday. Every team needs to help please to enable the morning games to run on time.
MINISTICKS DUTIES
Whanga | Harbour turfs -– 8.30am games:
- All teams must arrive at 8am to set up their own turf e.g., if you are playing on H1-H8 (Whanga) then you will set-up this turf for 1/8 field games.
- The Primary School Control Room Coordinator will oversee all the teams setting up the turf.
Whanga | Harbour turfs – 10.15am games:
- At the conclusion of your game, the Mini Sticks teams pack away the cones and yellow wooden boards (ONLY PAVILION TO SALT END BOARDS) so that the turf is ready for Kiwisticks 1/4 turf games. The Kiwi Sticks teams will also help with this.
KIWISTICKS DUTIES
Tahatai | Coast & Moana | Ocean – 8.30am games:
- All teams must arrive at 8am to set up their own turf e.g., if you are playing on T1 (Tahatai 1) then you will set-up T1.
- The Primary School Control Room Coordinator will oversee all the teams setting up the turfs.
Saturday morning closing duty:
TAHATAI | COAST TURF –
Last game of day on this turf:
- Teams playing on Tahatai pavilion for the last game need to please clean/tidy the pavilion after their game. Please ensure there is no rubbish on tables, empty the bins in the pavilion into the wheelie rubbish bins outside, and vacuum the floor. The vacuum is located at the end of the corridor next to the bar.
- After the last game of the day teams will be required to re-set the turf to a full turf for club premier matches.
MOANA | OCEAN – Last game of the day:
- After the last game of the day teams will be required to re-set the turf to a full turf for club premier matches.
Mouthguards
Don’t forget that mouthguards need to be fitted before coming to the turf as there is no boiling water available here. If you haven’t picked up your team mouthguards yet, then they are available from the hockey office between the hours of 9am-3pm Monday to Friday.
Umpires
Every team needs to provide their own umpire so please come prepared. Umpires need to have their own whistle and orange vests can be picked up from the control room.

Advising Results
At Tauranga Hockey Centre please hand the score card to the co-ordinator in the control room. If you're at a satellite venue please text the result, or send a photo, to the draw steward on 027 533 2471.
