SCHOOL HOLIDAY & DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES 2024

We are excited to offer you a variety of programmes in both the April and July School Holidays. The goal is to connect our tamariki and rangitahi into hockey through holiday and development programmes.

All programmes are held at Tauranga Hockey Association, 42 Kawaka Street, Blake Park, Mount Maunganui

Holiday Programmes: THA will continue to offer this very popular programme to our Year 1 - 4's where 3 hours of movement, mobility, fun & games plus developing hockey will all be included.

Development Programme: THA will deliver a programme that will run in 3 hour blocks. The programme is open to players of all abilities that intend to develop their game. Later on in the year there is an opportunity to play in various age-group festivals. The sessions will emphasise basic skills, principles of play, decision making and small gameplay. 

Hockey 5's:  A new and exciting format with pathways to World Cups. It is an opportunity to get a taste for the game and develop your all round hockey ability in a fast and exciting new format. It is short and fast variant of field hockey which will reap benefits. The 5's will run as an all day programme with 30 minute games; one game on, one game off. There will be an opportunity for other associations to be invited as well.  More information will follow closer to April.
